How to use it, in three steps

  1. Set up. Place the roller on the floor, the board on top, and keep a wall within arm's reach.
  2. Find the balance point. Stand with one foot at each end, then shift your weight slowly until both ends lift off the floor.
  3. Five minutes a day. Between two meetings or while waiting for a call. When you no longer need the wall, roll further and slower.

Care guide

No solvents. Natural cork and birch need nothing more than a soft cloth and plain water.

Wipe. A dry or barely damp cloth after use, then let it air-dry flat.

Store. Away from prolonged damp and direct heat. No oil, no wax, no treatment — the cork is the finish.

Control the movement.

Start with support. Build control on the roller.

  • Find your balance — Centre the roller beneath the board. Keep one hand on a stable support.
  • Control the roll — Keep your knees soft. Shift your weight gently from foot to foot.
  • Try new positions — Move into a plank with your hands on the board. Follow the exercises in the app.

Are shipping and returns free?

Yes, from €139 (£129 in the UK, $149 in the US): the Pro Kit always ships free. Below that, standard shipping is €4.40. Orders arrive in three to seven business days, with a tracking link as soon as they ship.

Returns are free too, in the EU and the UK. You have 30 days from delivery to try it at home, no reason needed. Write to me: I email you a prepaid return label, you drop the parcel at a relay point, and your refund goes out within 48 hours of receiving it.
Is the board solid, and has it been tested?

Yes. In 2023, Testsieger-Siegel.de tested our balance board, made of the same birch and cork as today: rated “GUT”, with an overall score of 90/100.

What makes it solid: a 12-ply varnished birch deck, 79 × 39 cm, rated to 150 kg. A WideBase™ width of 39 cm, so your whole foot fits, facing forward or sideways. And a finishing step done by hand on every board, with softened edges. That's why every STAASH product carries a lifetime warranty.
Can I start if I've never stood on a balance board?

Yes. Start with one hand on a wall: most people find the balance point on their first try. The app guides you step by step, from the first wobble to rolling with confidence. Five minutes a day is enough.
Will it take my weight, and is it easy to store?

Yes. The WideBase™ deck is 79 × 39 cm of 12-ply varnished birch and holds up to 150 kg. Think about getting a mat: it keeps your board in shape for as long as possible.

To store it: 15 mm thin, about 3 kg. Thanks to its swallowtail ends, it stands upright against a wall or slides under a bed or sofa.
Starter or Pro: which kit?

The Starter Kit (3-in-1) is the board, the cork roller and the ball. The Pro Kit (5-in-1) adds a half moon and a cork mat, so you can train anywhere, on any floor.
